Presentation: History of Diva with SF Opera

the vibe

Learn about the real-life and on-stage, larger-than-life opera characters we’ve come to love (and sometimes love to hate!), including gods and goddesses, countesses and courtesans. Cole Thomason-Redus, the Educational Content Curator from SF Opera, illustrates how opera divas command our attention, rule the stage and amaze audiences with their divine beauty of song. Participants will enjoy recordings by some of the most celebrated stars of the opera stage.
