Rather than focusing on stay-at-home lives during the lock-down, as some other COVID-focused novels have, author Susan Straight takes us into the lives of traveling nurses who are at the forefront of the pandemic. The story pivots between the perspectives of the main characters, but everything comes to a head when one of the characters goes missing.
