For this performance, the artist and a Unitree Go2 Quadruped are enclosed together inside of a dog crate for an extended period of time. ⭑.ᐟ About the artist Dann Disciglio (b. 1993) is an American artist whose artistic practice is rooted in the belief that technology can only be comprehensively understood through a body. Working across mediums including sculpture, installation, and performance, Disciglio challenges his audience to encounter bodies -- tree limbs, discarded computers, speakers, robotic systems, landscapes -- that have been augmented, hacked, and/or recomposed, with prosthetics, algorithms, and other technological modifications. Through these deliberate entanglements, Disciglio's work creates temporary, hyper localized environments in which new forms of perception, time, and intelligence emerge. Disciglio has exhibited works and led performances nationally and internationally, including at the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco, the United States Botanic Garden, the Museet for Samtidskunst in Roskilde (DK), the Malta Society of Arts (Valletta), Kino Šiška (SI), SGMK (CH).
