Noe Music: Quartets on the Mainstage

the vibe

Noe Music presents an afternoon of string quartet music featuring Co-Artistic Director Owen Dalby alongside violinist Alexi Kenney, violist Milena Pajaro-van de Stadt, and cellist Oliver Herbert. The program pairs three works: Gabriella Smith's Carrot Revolution, which blends early music with bluegrass, jazz, and rock; Schnittke's Third Quartet, known for its collage of musical quotations including phrases from Stabat Mater, Beethoven's Grosse Fuge, and Shostakovich; and Beethoven's Op. 130 with the Grosse Fuge finale. The event takes place Monday, November 2 (note: page lists date as Sunday, November 1, 2026, 4:00–6:00 PM) at Noe Valley Ministry.
