Bestselling Bay Area author Helene Wecker discusses *The Gates of Midnight*, the final book in her Golem and the Jinni trilogy, in conversation with fellow Bay Area author Ilana DeBare. The event, hosted by the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco, runs from 7 PM to 8:30 PM and covers how Wecker concluded her acclaimed trilogy, developed characters inspired by Jewish and Arab folklore, and blended history with magic. The trilogy follows characters Chava the golem and Ahmad the jinni, whose separate lives are disrupted when the wizard Yehudah Schaalman begins returning to power thirty years after the events of the previous book.
