Velvet Rudiments: Vinyl & House Hawthorn, San Francisco · Thursday, July 30, 2026 · 8PM – late Velvet Rudiments is a new two-room night at Hawthorn exploring a single idea: that how a record is played is as much a part of the music as the record itself. The Main Room runs strictly on vinyl. Good Question, Combover, and Greg Eversoul spend the night hands-on with wax — no laptops, no sync, just records, selection, and the discipline of mixing the original way. It's a room built for listeners as much as dancers, and a nod to the analog roots the whole genre grew out of. In the Bonaparte Room, the approach turns digital. &ndmore, Little Lord, and Devcloud bring house on CDJs — deeper and more propulsive as the night goes on, a modern counterpoint to the vinyl set across the club in the main room.
